Ipswich Labour Party covers the Borough of Ipswich. Twelve of the boroughs 16 wards - 13 from the next general election - make up the Ipswich Constituency of Labour MP Chris Mole. The remaining 4 wards - 3 from the next election - are in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich constituency. The party has five branches, each organised around a group of Ipswich Borough Council Wards. Activity takes place at branch, constituency (the CLP - Constituency Labour Party) and borough (the Borough/District Labour Party) level. Ipswich Labour Party employs a full time Secretary/Agent and part time support staff. Although housed in the same building, the Labour Party office is quite separate from the office of local MP Chris Mole.
