Neighbourhood Nurseries

Launched in 2000, Neighbourhood Nurseries were Labour's first step on the path towards ensuring that every family had access to high quality, affordable daycare.  Funding from central government, together with money from local government and in some cases the organisations that would provide the service, enabled the provision of four new daycare settings in Ipswich.  Three of these still operating:

Buttons and Bows

Wigwams

Maidenhall

Buttons and Bows and Wigwams are run by a registered charity, Bows and Arrows, while Maidenhall is run by a local private sector provider with another nursery in the town centre.

Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party, on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
