Cllr Roger Fern: Our thoughts and prayers are with London at this time

Last night's meeting of Ipswich Borough Council opened with a minute's silence for the victims of the London attack.

Mayor and Labour Councillor, Roger Fern, said:

"I know I speak for the whole Chamber when I express our shock and horror at the events which took place in and around the Houses of Parliament this afternoon. Police enquiries are obviously continuing into the nature of this attack but at this time I believe it is appropriate to record our condolences to the victims and their families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with London at this time and I would like to forward a message from the Council to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan."
