Sandy needs little introduction to most people in Ipswich. He has represented St John's division as its County Councillor since 1997, and served as leader of the Labour Group of councillors on Suffolk County Council for the last four years.
Between 2002 and 2014, Sandy also represented St John's on Ipswich Borough Council. His hard work for local residents have helped turn this formerly marginal ward into one of Labour's safest seats in Ipswich and Suffolk.
On both councils, Sandy has championed environmental issues and improved educational opportunities. He has served as a school governor at Copleston High School for many years.
Sandy lives in Ipswich and is proud to be representing the town he calls home.
