The UCS Waterfront Building has quickly become an icon of Ipswich, alongside the Willis Building and the Orwell Bridge.  Sitting at the corner of the old Wet Dock, once the commercial hub of the town, the building provides an important and very real link to the future for Ipswich and Suffolk.  For so long denied a full higher education presence, due to 50's conservatism, the town and county can finally offer its young people a local, university level learning opportunity.
