Ipswich Street Lighting Petition 2021

We, the undersigned believe that following the tragic death of Sarah Everard, the safety of members of the public should be the main consideration for deciding whether to leave street lights on throughout the night. Ipswich Borough Council is keeping its street lights on overnight, but most street lights in Ipswich are owned by Suffolk County Council. We call on Suffolk County Council to follow the lead of the Borough Council and reverse its policy of turning off street lights at 11.30pm.
