A Happy Christmas for Tory advisers, at our expense

I’m aware my last two posts were a bit gloomy for Christmas so I’d like to end with a heart warming tale that I’m sure will cheer you up, writes David Ellesmere, Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Ipswich.

George Osborne’s most senior economic adviser, Rupert Harrison, has been awarded an 18% pay rise, taking his total pay to £95,000.

I’m sure we’d all like to congratulate Rupert as he clearly thoroughly deserves it.

And as “we’re all in this together”, this obviously means that austerity is over, the cuts will stop, all our wages are going to rise and the cost of living crisis is at an end.

Happy Christmas everyone!
