Westgate Ward - Colin Kreidewolf

Colin is the Labour candidate for Westgate Ward at the Borough Council election on Thursday 3rd May 2018.
Colin was born and brought up in Ipswich and went to Chantry High School and Suffolk College before starting work and commuting to the City of London. Subsequently work took him to San Francisco where he lived for six years before returning to live in London. He moved back to Ipswich in 2013.
Since returning to Ipswich Colin has served his home town by becoming Chair of Governors at Sprites Primary Academy, and he is a Trustee at the Disabled Advice Bureau, as well as being Secretary and Treasurer of the Ipswich Town Independent Supporters Trust.
With two friends, he runs Big Cheese Comedy Club which promotes comedy nights in Suffolk and Essex and advises to a logistics company based in Felixstowe.
As a councillor Colin is on the Planning & Development and Licensing Committees as well as being deputy to Cllr David Ellesmere on Economic Development and Property. He is also Chair of three of the Council’s trading companies; Ipswich Borough Assets Ltd, IPSERV Ltd, and Handford Homes Ltd.
“I have been honoured to serve the people of Westgate and Ipswich for the last four years. Ipswich is my home, its where I am from, and I care passionately about it and its people and how I can influence helping to improve the Town.
“Westgate is a diverse and vibrant community full of wonderful people doing the best for their community and I very much want to continue to serve them.”
