Bridge Ward - Collette Allen
Collette Allen is Labour's Borough Council candidate for Bridge Ward on Thursday 3rd May.
Collette has worked in the NHS for 20 years and is a member of Unison.
She has lived in Bridge ward for 7 years with her husband and daughter who attends Halifax Primary school. Collette lived in Stoke Park until she was nine, and went to Stoke High school so this area has always felt like home.
Collette says: “It was hard work campaigning for the last two elections but I met some amazing people. I listened to what people had to say and it reinforced my will to do more. I really care about our town and want to see it improved for us all.
Austerity has meant things are more difficult for a lot of us. Some people are in really desperate situations and I will work hard to be an advocate for the residents of Bridge ward.
If I am elected, I will be working for you.”
