St John's Ward - Elango Elavalakan

Elango is the Labour Party Candidate for St. John's ward at the Ipswich Borough Council election on 3rd May 2018.
Elango has lived in Schreiber Road since he and his wife moved to Ipswich in June 2006.  
Elango has been an Ipswich Borough Councillor in St. John's Ward since 2014.
Elango was born and raised in Sri Lanka and worked there and in Africa before making his home in the UK.  He ran the BP Fuel station in Woodbridge Road for a number of years and currently works as a construction site manager. 
On the Borough Council, Elango is Deputy Portfolio Holder for Public Protection.
Elango says: "My aim is to serve the community in the town where I have lived for the past 12 years. I seek your support on Thursday 3rd May 2018 to continue my duties to all in St. John's ward and Ipswich Borough."
