Sprites Ward - Jenny Smith

Jenny Smith is the Labour Party candidate for Sprites at the Borough Council election on Thursday 2nd May 2019.

My name is Jennifer Smith and I’m asking for your vote on the 2nd May 2019 for Sprites Ward Borough Councillor.

So, who am I?

I was born in Kingfisher Avenue 54 Years ago and attended Sprites School then on to Chantry High School.

I’ve been married to Peter, also born on Chantry estate in Goldcrest Road, for 28 Years.

I work for Tesco based at the Copdock Store and have been there for 31 Years. As a member of the shop workers’ union, USDAW, I have helped many members over the years. I also serve as a Divisional Councillor for USDAW.

I have seen many changes over the years in Sprites Ward as fields have been replaced by homes, retail units and schools. But at the heart of all this we mustn’t forget the people who live here.

It would be an honour and a privilege to represent you, my neighbours, on the Council.

Thank You.

It would be great to know what your policies are and what you propose to do for the Ward before I put a cross in the box!
