Ken Weetch backs David to become Ipswich's next MP

Popular and respected former Ipswich MP, Ken Weetch has put his support behind David Ellesmere to become Ipswich's next Member of Parliament.

Ken Weetch served as Member of Parliament for Ipswich from 1974 until 1987, and is the only living person recognised by being granted Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Ipswich.

Ken was keen to endorse David's candidature as our next MP: "I have heard lots of good things about what David Ellesmere is doing as leader of Ipswich Borough Council and I have been very impressed. It is clear that he wants what's best for the town and that he is on the side of ordinary people. He will make an excellent MP for Ipswich."
