Holywells Ward - Shofik Ali

Shofik Ali is the Labour Party candidate for Holywells at the Borough Council election on Thursday 2nd May 2019.

Shofik’s family run the Bay of Bengal Takeaway on Nacton Road.

He has also served as a Special Constable and was a Senior Youth Worker based at Murrayside until Suffolk County Council slashed youth services and made him redundant. We need people to work together as a community with other communities to bring the best out of Ipswich. Austerity and cuts by the Tories have helped create the conditions which have led to an increasing violent and evil gang culture on our streets, that is affecting the lives of many Ipswich people.

Vote Labour and give Shofik the opportunity to help put things right.

Shofik says: "We need a labour of love in our community and with your help, I want Holywells Ward to lead the way and becoming a successful place where people feel safe and healthy".
