Stefan was elected in 2022 as an Ipswich Borough Councillor for Rushmere ward where he has lived since 2015.
Stefan has lived in Ipswich his whole life and works full time as an electrical engineer.

Before standing for election as a Councillor, Stefan was a Unite shop steward for several years representing colleagues in the workplace. During this time he was a member of regional and national industrial sector committees.

As a Councillor, Stefan sits on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Members of this committee ensure that the decisions taken by the executive are done in a way that ensures the public get the best value for money in our town.
