You can’t trust the Tories with the NHS. Under David Cameron, more and more services are being handed over to the private sector, and hospitals are increasing their private patient income – while NHS patients face longer waits.

David Cameron’s disastrous NHS reorganisation put profits before patient care. His Health and Social Care Act put market values at the heart of the NHS, effectively forcing commissioners to put all contracts out to tender. It also abolished the Private Patient Income cap, allowing hospitals to raise up to half of their income from private patients.
