Yesterday Priory Heath residents went to the polls to elect a new Borough Councillor.
We are pleased to inform you that Roxanne Downes was elected to fill the vacancy created when Sarah Barber stood down from the Council in early November.
The full result was:
Roxanne Downes (Labour) 653 (59.9%)
Conservative 314 (28.8%)
Liberal Democrat 123 (11.3%)
This represents an 11.7% swing to Labour since this seat was last contested in 2021.
Roxanne says: “Thank you to Priory Heath residents for your support. It is such an honour to be elected as your local Councillor and I’ll work tirelessly to repay your faith in me.”
