Voter Returning Postal Vote

Election rules were relaxed in 2001, and in Ipswich nearly 30,000 people now vote by post. Anyone can apply for a postal vote, they aren’t just for people who are ill or on holiday. You don’t need to give a reason, if voting by post is more convenient than getting to the polling station sign-up for a postal vote now.

If you live in Ipswich you can scan and submit your completed form online. Click “Contact Us – Elections (Individual Enquiries)”, sign-up for or login to My Ipswich and then select “an individual” and “Submit a postal vote application form”.

If you want a postal vote for the General Election on 4 July 2024 the Council must receive your form by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024.
