Elango Elavalakan
Borough Councillor, St. John's Ward
Elango Elavalakan has lived in Ipswich since 2006 and served as a councillor for St John's ward since 2014.
He is currently the deputy portfolio for Resources for Ipswich Borough Council. He serves on Council's Licensing & Regulatory Committee, Climate Emergency Working Group and North East Area Committee.
Elango ran a fuel station on Woodbridge Road for many years. He worked as a Site Engineer and now works as a Site Manager and runs his own Business.
Elango is also Ethnic Minorities Officer of Ipswich Labour Party and a member of Tamils for Labour.
