Kelvin Cracknell
Borough Councillor, Rushmere Ward
Kelvin was born with cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, but this has not slowed him down.
Kelvin has lived and worked in Ipswich all his adult life. He is the former chairman of the Ipswich Disabled Advice Bureau after serving on the Board of Trustees since 2013. In addition to this, he was also a volunteer for the bureau teaching computer skills to their clients. He also played an active part in Ipswich Borough Council’s tenant participation programme before becoming a councillor.
Kelvin, alongside fellow Rushmere councillors Alasdair Ross, Stefan Long, and Suffolk County councillor Sandy Martin is working hard to represent the residents of Rushmere and the wider community.
Kelvin is currently Chair of the North East Area Committee and a governor at Northgate High School
