Ruman Muhith
Borough Councillor, Priory Heath Ward
I grew up in Priory Heath during the early 1980s at number 3 Felix Road with (at the time) my four siblings. My late father worked at the old Crane factory for 40 years, and because of this, I have always had a strong connection to Priory Heath and have fond memories of growing up in this wonderful community.
I remember the powerful sense of camaraderie among the residents, the hustle and bustle by the parade of shops on Nacton Road, the youth club at the Murrayside Community Centre, which I enjoyed very much and kept me out of trouble, and the many community events that brought us all together.
These qualities are still very much present in Priory Heath, and I am committed to building upon them as your councillor.
With your support, and if elected, I will focus on improving local services, supporting local businesses, enhancing public safety, and advocating for social justice issues that affect the residents of Priory Heath.
A strong and prosperous community is one that values inclusivity, diversity, and fairness, and I will work tirelessly to promote these values.
I am confident that I can make a positive difference and positive impact as your councillor by working to eradicate anti-social behaviour by way of reform, not punishment.
With over 20 years of experience in Service Improvement, Delivery, and Management, I fully understand how to resolve complex issues.
I look forward to working with you to create a brighter future for all residents of Priory Heath. Together, we can work to make Priory Heath an even better place to live.
